OTR tires are operating assets
An OTR tire should be selected from the operating cycle: equipment, payload, haul distance, speed, grade, surface severity, ambient temperature, cycle time and failure history. Size alone is not enough.
Tread class and compound
L-3 and E-3 patterns may suit general loader and haul work, while deeper L-4, L-5 or E-4 patterns are reviewed for severe cut conditions. More tread depth can improve cut protection but may increase heat, so the full site profile matters.
TKPH and heat review
Haul applications require heat-management review. TKPH or TMPH helps estimate work capacity by combining average load and operating speed. A tire that is too aggressive for the heat cycle may fail early.
Data needed for an OTR RFQ
Provide equipment model, tire size, payload, average speed, maximum speed, haul distance, cycle time, grade, road condition, current tire brand/pattern, and primary failure mode.
Need help applying this to your tire program?
Send your size list, application, target market and port. GLOBAL TIRE EXPORT COMPANY LIMITED will review the RFQ and respond from salesmanager@globaltireexport.com.
