Application-led engineering

Specify for the work, market and service conditions

OTR selection is an operating-engineering decision. Payload, speed, haul distance, underfoot severity, grade, ambient heat and cycle time all influence the correct construction, compound and tread depth.

Commercial value

Performance priorities for professional buyers

Cut resistance

Deep patterns and severe-service compounds address rock cuts, chunking and impact.

Heat management

Compound selection is reviewed against haul speed, distance and TKPH/TMPH demand.

Equipment matching

Loader, grader, dump-truck and crane applications require different pattern priorities.

Site-specific support

Operating data is reviewed before a production recommendation is issued.

Buyer and fleet guidance

Engineering context behind the product range

An OTR tire can fail early even when its nominal size is correct. Excess heat, overloading, sharp rock, long haul cycles, poor road maintenance, excessive speed or the wrong tread classification can each dominate service life. We ask operators for equipment model, payload, average and peak speed, haul distance, cycle time, grades, turns and underfoot description.

Loader work typically favors traction and cut protection, with L-3 through L-5 tread depths selected by severity. Haul applications require attention to heat generation and E-class pattern selection. Grader tires prioritize directional control and traction, while mobile-crane service introduces separate load, speed and roadability considerations. The selection process must reflect the real cycle.

Export and manufacturing

Built for repeat orders, not one-time transactions

Mining and construction programs may involve trial quantities, scheduled replacements and site inventory requirements rather than ordinary dealer stocking. We support technical RFQs with pattern data, dimensions, available load references, production timing and shipping plans. Large sizes materially affect container utilization and may require dedicated equipment or special handling.

Quality controls cover material and compound release, component dimensions, building, curing identity, appearance and program-specific inspection. Certification requirements differ significantly by product and destination; not every OTR tire follows the same road-tire regime. Applicable documentation is therefore confirmed for the exact size and intended market.

Certification planning

Approve compliance by SKU and market

Certification availability is SKU- and market-specific. DOT, ECE, GCC, SASO, ISO-system documentation and other export records must be confirmed against the final product list before order approval.

ISO 9001 documentation relates to the quality-management system; it does not replace product-specific approval. Buyers remain responsible for importer registration, labeling and market-surveillance duties in the destination country.

Markets supported

  • United States — DOT program review
  • Canada — importer and marking review
  • Australia — fitment and market-document review
  • United Kingdom — ECE and importer-duty review
  • GCC / Saudi Arabia — GCC and SASO support where applicable

Buyer FAQ

Questions about otr tires

Provide equipment model, payload, speed, haul distance, cycle time, grade, underfoot conditions, current tire and failure mode.

It is a work-capacity measure combining average tire load and average operating speed. It helps assess heat demand for haul applications.

Sometimes, but diameter and weight can make dedicated loading more practical. A loading study is required.
